  • With expert facilitators Ben Jackson (2020 Worlds University Debating Championships Finalist) and Ellie Stephenson (2024 Worlds University Debating Championships Chief Adjudicator), you’ll cover the following;

    • advanced coaching methodologies,

    • effective adjudication practices, and

    • strategies for fostering critical thinking and persuasive communication among students.

    • How to incorporate feedback and more

  • Designed to address the need for professional learning for primary teachers especially in South-West and Western Sydney, this workshop is designed to enhance pedagogical and adjudicative expertise in competitive debating contexts. It is suitable for beginner and experienced teacher debating coordinators.

  • This intensive one-day program will cover key elements of competitive secondary speaking, including:

    • Speechwriting and structure 

    • What adjudicators are looking for

    • Impromptu speaking 

    • How to incorporate feedback

    • Running school trials and selecting student representatives

    Specifically, we will focus on constructing winning speeches for the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition.
