The National Final Debate is the pinnacle of the NSDC tournament, where the two most outstanding state or territory representative teams will engage in a rigorous, high-stakes debate to claim the coveted national title. This prestigious event will showcase exceptional analytical prowess, strategic argumentation, and eloquence from Australia’s finest young debaters.
The ceremony will feature addresses from esteemed guests, reflecting on the tournament’s impact and celebrating the achievements of all participants. The Australian National Team and Coaches will also be announced at the Final.
Venue and arrival information:
Guests are invited to arrive from 10:30 am for seating. The debate will commence at 11:30 am. Late guests will only be allowed entry at the discretion of tournament staff and entry is not guaranteed. We will prioritise the focus of students and minimise disruption above all else.
The NSW State Library has multiple entries. Please use the entrance on Macquarie Street for the easiest access and navigate to the lower ground level using the stairs or elevators from the main lobby. Staff are available at the information desk to give directions to the auditorium.
Please note that this event will be live-streamed and you may appear on camera.
Accessibility information:
The venue is entirely accessible when alighting at Macquarie Street. Once on the kerb, there is step-free access up a ramp to the main entrance on the right. Follow the lobby through to the elevators and head down to the lower ground level. Turn right on arrival and it is only a short walk to the glasshouse and auditorium.
